Sektor: Racing Game Dev Blog #3
Gameplay doesn't look smooth because of making the recording while playing
I’d like to introduce my racing game called Sektor. It’s inspired by Super Mario Kart and Death Rally for the PC.
What’s in this release
I refactored the code and restructured the scenes to make them consistent. I reimported the car meshes and disabled smoothing, they now match the low poly style of the rest of the game.
The cars now also detect when they are off-road. If so I add some forces to the cars rigidbody to make it a bit bumpy and slow it down.
